Letter from Marvin Trotter, Board President, September 26, 2003

"If you want to practice preventative medicine, this is the facility to support. If you want less violence, less drug and alcohol abuse, fewer teen pregnancies, and fewer out of shape kids, this is the project to support."

The best way to support the Ukiah Valley Cultural and Recreational Center at this time is to make a donation. Although a significant portion of the funding is in hand, allowing construction to begin in October, we still need to raise a whopping $700,000 from the community. After the center is built there will be plenty of volunteer opportunities as well.

Ways to contribute.

Angels- $5,000
A bronze plaque will be inscribed with the names of Angels and placed in a
prominent setting of the facility. Many of our current Angel donors are
actually groups of friends and employees who are pooling their donation. One
example of a 'Group' Angel is the 20 Public Health employees having $5
deducted from each paycheck over the next 24 months.

Heroes- $25,000
Various rooms in the community center will be named by Heroes. A project of
this magnitude comes along once in a lifetime. This is an excellent
opportunity to honor a loved one or create a memorial.

Patron- $250,000
The Patron will have the naming rights to the community center portion of
the facility. This center will enhance the lives of thousands of people for
generations to come. What better way to be remembered.
